Use your voice for recording Ideas of melody, RIFFS and rhythms
To fire up ideas and getting into mood, watch some videos (by muting audio) and start singing and record it.

* Sketch Method --------------Create a virtual composed instrument which contains Piano+Bass+ Orchestral String etc.

Similar to mixing of colors for painting to sketch. For each instrument in logic you can set key limit. e.g. C2-G8. You will not trigger note for that BASS instrument on higher notes.

Blocks Method

Reuse chords, chords progression, harmony, base, rhythm as complete bank of different elements. Drag and drop and adjust to your liking for your song. Save it as a template for you.

Design Method

Have ready made sets of tracks e.g. Tension, Rise and Hit, Reverse sounds, transitions and ambience.

MC Method

Mockup composing method. * Focus only on Rhythm, Harmony and Melody or Theme for mockup. * Have a folder with atleast 3 tracks: Rhythm (Drums), Harmony(Strings) and Melody (Piano) * May add more tracks also like Bass, Drive (orchestral strings) * This method is Based on Sketch and Blocks Method. Start with Sketch and then Blocks and use MC method.

Visual Candy Method

Download inspiring images/Videos and Look at them while composing new music for inspiration.

Mimic Method

Listen to your favorite song, try to play it on your piano.
Adjust your piano softness/Timbre to match the original song.
Try to find root chord by playing the chords. Try different inversions of same chord to find the closest match. The inversions do sound different!

Record Music Idea using Mobile App

Music Memos (IOS only). Record Voice. Suggests chords for the voice.
chordbot - can choose rhythms based on chords, can even choose different inversions for given chord.
